The Victorian Community History Awards are proudly presented by the Public Record Offce Victoria and the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, and this award recognises the best collaborative community work involving significant contribution from several individuals or groups. It's no wonder my book stood out to the judges! Inverloch and Bass Coast, you are amazing! If you watch the 'In honour of and thanks to ' credits scroll at the end of the Wallace Avenue Park video on this website, you will see just how many incredible people and organisations came together to save and develop our precious park. Thank you to every single one of you! Thank you also to InHouse Publishing for producing such a delightful, top quality book.

This year the Awards Ceremony was held at the spectacular Langham Mebourne, but what stood out to me was the people who attended. Congratulations to every one of you for outstanding work and commitment to preserving history. Huge thanks also to the Royal Historical Society and the Public Record Office. Every communication is friendly, prompt and inviting, and the ceremony itself was a delight to attend with evidence of thorough and thoughtful planning.
